Fights
Ripples of emotion,
Tangible in liquid,
Spear my soul
Ooze and creak
My aching heart
If I protect,
I harden,
And so be criticized,
If I bleed and
slowly heal, I am once
again vulnerable
and the next hit pushes
Deeper.
